A change of shoes from PILOT ROAD4 that did not like the Pattern of the Front
Did you set it up in the wrong direction? The design of the grooves is straighter than PILOT ROAD4 Targeted and cool!
I didn't have any complaints about Grip in Dry, but it was still a great experience for me when I had a sudden rainstorm while touring The peace of mind provided by the XST Evo is irreplaceable
However, if you use it mainly in the mountains, the effect of 2CT may be too effective, or it may be more effective than the Center The SIDE reaches its limit first Repeated the ROAD5 again at about 10 months and 8300km since the last replacement
Sports Touring I think that it is good even if there is a little more durability as Tire of Category It is the best if you want it to last 10,000km
Replaced by OEMTire in February 2021.
At the time, I was using a Motorcycle for commuting with Corona support, so I chose Road5, which had a good reputation among Touring tires.
I used it for commuting to work and then changed its purpose from commuting to hobby use. I used it for riding on the mountain passes in my neighborhood, riding around town to the leather goods store, and taking a day trip of about 400 km once a month.
OEMTire (Dunlop Road sports2) showed SlipSign at 9000km, but Road5 is close to SlipSign at 9700km.
I wonder if the SlipSign will appear after about 10,000 km. I was wondering if my expectations for touring tires were too high, or if they would last a little longer.
But considering that you can play Winding with a Grip as good as SportsTire, it's probably a good thing.
Well, I don't think there are many people who use Road5 in Mountain Pass Main (laughs).
If you were a simple long-distance tourer, Life might be a little longer.
By the way, I don't run in the rain, so I don't know much about wet performance.
If you are not using Circuit and want to enjoy Winding while caring about Life, Road5 is recommended.View Detail
In comparison to the tires I've worn in the past, this is the number one tire in terms of straight-line stability.
Unlike BS, Handlebar doesn't get out of control at high speed, which is pretty cool.
It's more stable and comfortable than the T32, Soft, and on the other hand, Dry Winding is OK for slow driving but not so good for quick driving.
However, depending on the setting, it can be run at about the same intervals as the T32. Overall, it's a good tire for everyone. It's perfect for cold winters.
◇Dry grip
ROAD5
◇Wet grip
TS100 < T32 = S22? < ROAD5
I'm just strong in Wet and can run without worry.
◇Ground feeling
TS100<ROAD5<T32<<<S22
I can feel the large size of the contact area due to the softness, but it is not as high as the T32.
◇Handling (as in turning power?)
TS100<ROAD5<T32<<<S22
It doesn't pull you along like the S22, but it's not bad either.
◇Handling (nimbleness)
ROAD5<T32<S22<TS100
It has a soft feel, so it's adequate, but it doesn't give a bad impression. Rather, it is just right for city touring.
◇Life
S22
I think this is the perfect tire for touring use. In addition to the excellent dry grip, the wet grip and the feeling of security in wet conditions are noteworthy. You will love this excellent balance and you will want to buy more (Quantity:(2pc).
However, the first pc was also short-lived, but Quantity:I'm sorry to say that the 2pc also has a very short Life. This is the only drawback of this Tire (aside from the unique Pattern). Both of them still have Center, but Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) The bank section does not hold up. Maybe the matching with the way you ride is bad, but you need to improve more and more, otherwise you are losing to other companies' products.
Still, I like it very much for its overall performance except for Life, so I will buy another one. Another round. I guess.View Detail
[How is it used?
-In use as of May 8, 2021, from July 5, 2019.
Mileage:39,801km to 58,981km in use. 0.9mm more Large is judged to be strong at the time of inspection though SlipSign seems to have come out, and it seems to last more than 20,000km.
In addition, there was no slippage in sudden rain even when the SlipSign was half worn out as shown in images 1 and 2.
How to ride:I'm not a wanderer, I'm more of a leisurely tourer. I ride with a box and tandem.
Street riding:All year round
Mountain road:Basically from spring to autumn. Even in the Doshi-michi of the outside temperature minus 4℃.
Not particularly slippery.
Circuit:Tsukuba 2000 in mid July and early November
Air pressure:Check the air pressure once a month or at least once every three months to make sure it is at the specified value.
How was your experience with it?
I've often heard that "Rainproof. Unlike other tires, it is possible to adjust to sudden changes in the weather or rain on the day of the inspection appointment. It's raining. It's about the same level of recognition.
In the 20,000km run, there has not been a single instance of spinning in the rainy tunnel, white line, or bridge joints on the highway that has been seen with other tires.
In Circuit, there seems to be enough dry grip that a beginner can run comfortably without anxiety in a running event. (I didn't have any scary moment in Tsukuba 2000 when I was running 1 minute 20 to 30 seconds per lap.
How did it compare to other products?
Compared with ROSSO CORSA and S21, it is only Touring tire and durability is much better.
Also, as mentioned above, the Minus aspect to rain is reduced.
Even so, it is a problem of the rider, but the enjoyment is the same as S21 in Circuit. In fact, the time to go around is shortened.
[Points to note]
It's a rainproof tire, but I think it's dangerous to be overconfident. There is no groove on the edge as described.View Detail
I bought this bike because I was expecting to get a good dry grip and long life.
There is no habit in the handling, it is a front tire with smooth rudder angle and a long life can be expected from this tire.
I have been wearing SportsTires so far, and it was Cycle that if I ran 6,000km, I would replace the front tire because it was badly cut. However, this Tire does not have any gaps even if it runs 6,000km, and the grooves of the front tire are still 60-70% and the rear tire is still about 80%.
It is used for long distance driving on the highway + Winding on the road.
When decelerating downhill in the rain after a long stop, the rear slipped, as expected, but I had a sense of security in the front tire, so I was able to hold the front brake.
It would be nice if the price was a little more affordable. repeat possibility Large.View Detail
